Before You Leave
Cell service becomes limited once you’re north and east of Hayward. Please enter our address into your GPS while you’re still in Hayward (or before you leave home) where you have a strong cellular signal. Downloading your route ahead of time is also a good idea.
From Eau Claire (approximately 2 hours)
-Take US-53 North
-Take US-63 North toward Hayward.
- In Hayward, turn onto County Highway 77 East.
- Continue on Highway 77 for approximately 12 miles.
- Turn left onto Murphy Boulevard.
- Drive about 1.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Allan Road.
- Continue about 1.5 miles until you arrive at 11020 W. Allan Road (Timber Bay) on the left.
- The cabin is the last one on the lakefront.
From Minneapolis–St. Paul (approximately 2.5–3 hours)
- Take US-63 North toward Hayward.
- In Hayward, turn onto County Highway 77 East.
- Continue on Highway 77 for approximately 12 miles.
- Turn left onto Murphy Boulevard.
- Drive about 1.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Allan Road.
- Continue about 1.5 miles until you arrive at 11020 W. Allan Road (Timber Bay) on the left. (Edina Realty)

From Chicago (approximately 7–8 hours)
- Follow your GPS toward Hayward, Wisconsin.
- Once you reach Hayward, follow the same final directions:
- Take County Highway 77 East for about 12 miles.
- Turn left onto Murphy Boulevard.
- Continue approximately 1.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Allan Road.
- Drive about 1.5 miles to 11020 W. Allan Road (Timber Bay) on the left.
- The cabin is the last one on the lakefront.
A Few Helpful Tips
- Cell service can be spotty near the cabin depending on your carrier.
- If you’re arriving after dark, drive slowly on Allan Road, as deer and other wildlife are common.
Once you arrive at Timber Bay, you’ll find Green Wolf Lodge ready for your Northwoods getaway.
